A little bit about us in Lowestoft…

As the largest Practice within The Dental Design Studio group, we provide dental services 7 days a week at the following times –

Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm
Saturday 9am to 6pm
Sunday 9am to 5pm

We are located just off the main high street, a short walk from the bus & train stations and opposite a taxi rank. There is parking available outside the Practice and a pay & display car park at the end of the road.

The practice contains 8 well equipped modernised surgeries, two of which are located on the ground floor allowing for ease of access for disabled patients if required. We also have a hearing loop available at reception, please ask our receptionists for assistance.

Dental services we provide at the Practice are listed as follows –

• OPG (dental x-ray unit) – providing an ability to x-ray the whole jaw
  
• Orthodontist – who straightens teeth both children & adults providing removable braces, fixed and transparent
  
• Hygienist surgery – available to clean teeth and offer excellent oral health care advice
  
• Denture repair service (Monday to Friday)
  
• Cosmetic services – teeth whitening, white fillings, mouth guards, crowns and bridges
• Working closely with our sister Practice at Beccles who provide a very popular Implant Clinic
  

All our staff are highly skilled, friendly, helpful and are extremely sympathetic to anxious patients; additionally, between them they are able to converse in English , Greek , Romanian , Italian , and French which helps patients to fully understand dental treatments and enable any further dental specific questions to be answered.

We very much welcome new and existing patients and offer both NHS & Private treatments to the highest standards. We also assist with dental emergencies on a daily basis.

Claire Edwards

Practice Manager

I am the Practice Manager at our Lowestoft branch.

I qualified as a dental nurse in 1987 and I have also worked as a dental receptionist.

I joined the Dental Design Studio over three years ago and my job managing 8 surgeries keeps me very busy. When I am not working I enjoy socialising with my friends and family.

I love traveling and visiting new countries, eating out and swimming. I also have a passion for interior design and I love to be at home sewing, baking and pottering in my garden.

Shortly after graduating in 2017 in Bucharest, Romania I moved to the UK looking for a change in both life and career. I lived in London for three years and joined The Dental Design Studio Lowestoft in March 2007. Since 2017, until now, my dental career built up here. I am passionate about delivering good quality work that makes patients happy.

Professional development is very important to me and always keep up to date with regular online learning and course attendance. I promote minimal intervention dentistry and I believe that patient input is an essential ingredient to the treatment process. Patients regularly compliment me for being down to earth, reassuring and positive.

I love good movies, theatre, books, music, the sun and the sea, to explore new countries, cultures and languages.

Dr. Randhir C Seewoodharry Buguth

I completed my training at the University of Aix-Marseilles in France 11 years after finishing my A levels in Mauritius.

I won a French Scholarship and I am also a holder of a post-graduate in general pharmacology (Marseille) and Dentofacial orthopaedic (Montpellier).

I owned a private practice in Mauritius for 20 years and relocated to the UK in 2006.

I have served as a school Governor in the curriculum and quality committee at the East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston for 8 years, and I also hold a NVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care.

In 2016, I worked as a dentist in the South of France (Orange). I have recently started with The Dental Design Studio as a general dental practitioner and I am looking forward to further developing myself within dental implants.

I have always felt that we, as humans, have an inborn desire to want to help others.

I believe dentistry is my permanent source of satisfaction, providing the best of professional, and personal aspects of life. At Dental Design Studio dentists do more than drill and fill their patients' teeth; they improve the quality of life of people through diagnosis, treatment and prevention of oral diseases and conditions involving teeth and surrounding tissues.

The statement, 'as long as people will have mouths, people will need dentists' highlights how a dentist is an imperative necessity of the society and has convinced me to pursue dentistry as a means of serving the community.

I recently joined the dental unit at Dental Design Studio . Collaboration with staff and interaction with patients proved fascinating. The idea of how dentists give patients from all walks of life a confident smile, and forge a close bond with them over time impresses me . I qualified in Romania in 2015 and move in United Kingdom in 2016 .

I am Demetrio and I qualified as a dentist in Italy in 2016. Soon after my degree, I joined a private practice in Italy and kept myself up to date by attending many seminars in different fields of dentistry. I was also a dental volunteer at a charitable organisation in my hometown in which I provided dental treatment to needy people. Those were really valuable experiences, that enriched me personally and helped to build my manual skills.

I joined The Dental Design Studio in Lowestoft in August 2019. I like to put patients at ease and to make their experience to a dental practice as much comfortable as possible. My aim is to further my skills in oral surgery and prosthodontics to offer the best quality of dental care to my patients.

I like spending time with my friends and I enjoy football and travelling as well. Of course, since Italian, I love cooking!

Olivia Rix

Head Nurse

My name is Olivia, I joined The Dental Design Studio in 2016 as a student nurse and found such a passion for dental nursing. I enjoy all aspects of my job from assisting the dentists to helping patients overcome their fears and anxieties.

I recently progressed to head nurse in the practice which is keeping me very busy as I spend a lot of time supporting and mentoring our student nurses in the practice which I really enjoy.

In my free time I love to get out for long walks with my dog and I also love to travel to new places.

Rachel Plunkett

Dental Nurse

I am Rachel, I have been a dental nurse for 27 years.

I have worked at this practice since 2005.

I love all the aspects of my work (nursing and reception)Which resulted in becoming the clinical administrator for the practice in 2006.

I am a mother to four boys and any spare time is spent with my family and friends.

Katherine Cronin

Dental Nurse

I am Kathryn and I have been a dental nurse for 23 years. I qualified in 1995 and gained my radiography qualification in 2002.

I work in surgery and on the reception, which I both enjoy very much.

When I am in surgery I am mainly supporting our orthodontist dentist and it is very rewarding to see the transformations that orthodontic dentistry makes, especially for the children and the young adults that we see.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and reading.

Sheryl Bucknole

Dental Nurse / Receptionist

Hello, my name is Sheryl. I have been working at the Dental Design Studio since May 2016 where I started as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Since then, I have qualified, completed a post qualification in Dental Radiography and an access to life science course in order to go to university and become a Dental Hygienist.

I work both in surgery and reception part time and alongside this I also stream video games and run a yearly charity event to raise money for cancer research. I am very passionate about the Dental industry and really enjoy seeing the trust and confidence build within patients and seeing their smiles.

In my spare time I enjoy playing video games, creating and editing videos, watching the F1 and face paint.

My name is Anca, I am from Romania and I qualified as a dental nurse in 2012.

I am married and have a little girl who is now 3 years old. I moved from London, where I have been living the last 3 years. In my spare time I like to socialise with my family and friends.

I am very happy to join The Dental Design Studio.

My name is Sianne and I joined the team in 2019. It's great coming to work every day, working with such an amazing team.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends and walking my chocolate Labrador Alfie.

Jordanna Horton

Student Dental Nurse

My name is Jordanna and I'm 18 years old; I am looking to qualify as a dental nurse in 2020 with The Dental Design Studio. My passion for nursing originated during my time studying at Lowestoft Sixth Form College where I studied Medical Science.

Throughout my time studying the course, I knew that a nursing profession would be the ideal career path for me. I am very lucky to be working and learning within a very supportive and lovely team. Witnessing the professional relationships build between the team and the patients where they overcome their fears and leave with a positive and smiley attitude is the most rewarding part of my job.

During my spare I enjoy reading, spending time with my loved ones and exploring new places, alongside photography being another passion of mine.

My name is Shauna, I am a student Dental Nurse; I recently joined The Dental Design Studio in October 2020. I will be qualified by the beginning of 2022.

Before starting this apprenticeship I studied a variety of subjects including Criminology, Sociology, Law and Health and Social Care. The career field I've always wanted to go into has been something evolving around people, and this is the best type of work I could have gone into because every shift is so rewarding and makes me so happy to be part of such an amazing team.

When I'm not at work I like to spend time with my family, especially my little nephew, and friends. Also enjoy designing tattoos and watching true crime documentaries.

Amira Ayres

Apprentice Dental Nurse

My name is Amira and I am 16 years old. I recently joined The Dental Design Studio after leaving high school this year.

I've always wanted to be a dental nurse so to have gained this opportunity means everything to me. I love to learn and am really enjoying being part of the team here at The Dental Design Studio. I look forward to meeting more patients in the coming weeks and months.

Outside of work I love to be with friends and enjoy time spent at home with my family.

Lily Forwood

Hi, my name is Lily, I am 19 years old and I am on my journey to fully qualify as a dental nurse. My passion for dentistry began when I studied medical science at Lowestoft Sixth Form College for 2 years.

What I love about dentistry is the impact that good dental treatment can have on patients. It can literally change someone's life. Walking out with a great smile is something to feel proud of.

In my spare time, I like to go shopping, spend time with friends, and paint nails.

Chelsea Neller

My name is Chelsea Neller and I am 19 years old. I have recently joined The Dental Design Studio as a Student Dental Nurse. I have always been interested in becoming a dental nurse because I love to work with and around people; I find it so rewarding.

In my spare time I enjoy doing beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions, massage etc, which is where I think my passion for making people feel good about themselves stems from.

Head Receptionist

My name is Lucy and I've worked at The Dental Design Studio since 2015. I enjoy working alongside all of the dental team and feel the most rewarding part of my job is seeing a nervous patient leave with a smile on their face.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and my Corgi, Boris.

I love to travel and visit new places.

Tracey Ashby

Dental Nurse / Receptionist

I have worked at Regent Road Dentist since 1989, where I started off doing dental nursing and reception.

Since returning to work after having a family, I have been working on the reception, which I really enjoy.

As I have worked at the Lowestoft branch for over 25 years, I have got to know many of our patients well, which I think goes a long way in helping patients feel relaxed.

In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and three children.

Nikki Robbins

Receptionist

I'm Nikki, I started out as a dental nurse in 2001 working at two other practices in Lowestoft. I left dental nursing in 2010 to go on maternity leave and was a stay-at-home mum for seven years to my two boys.

My boys turned seven and three recently, and I felt it was time to get back out into the working world. The opportunity came up for me to join The Dental Design Studio as a part time receptionist and I've now been here since the beginning of October 2017.

I feel I've settled in well, even seeing a few patients that I used to know from my nursing years.

Most of my spare time is taken up with mum duties, but when I get the chance, I enjoy baking and crochet.

Debbie Dominey

Receptionist

My name is Debbie and I joined The Dental Design Studio in Lowestoft as a receptionist in late 2020.

I was a Dental Nurse in a private practice in Bedfordshire until 2004 until I relocated to Lowestoft. I was given the opportunity to train as a pharmacy dispenser which I did for 16 years.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends and finding new places to eat out.

Lucy Oldham

Hi I'm Lucy, I've been a dental nurse for 22 years and also have a qualification in dental radiology.

I have experience in Minor Oral surgery and sedation. I really enjoy my work. I am also Mummy to my 9 month old son.
